The Vallejo Weathering Effects range, have been formulated with permanent pigments and water-based acrylic resins, have been developed to represent the effects of time and weather on models and dioramas.

In combat, the refueling of tanks and trucks took place in the field, and the crews used pails, makeshift funnels, sections of hose and other items for the job; the fuel was spilled leaving characteristic traces on the vehicles.
