Vallejo Thinners help adjust paint consistency, improve flow and prepare colours for airbrush or brush application. The range includes specialist thinners, reducers and flow improvers for different Vallejo paint systems.
Vallejo Airbrush Thinner
Vallejo Airbrush Thinner reduces paint viscosity while helping maintain adhesion and paint performance. It works with many Vallejo acrylic colours, although Premium Color requires its own dedicated reducer.
For airbrush-ready colours, Vallejo recommends adding up to 25% thinner. Meanwhile, some brush-on colours may require up to 50%, depending on the paint and application.
Vallejo Airbrush Flow Improver
Vallejo Airbrush Flow Improver improves paint flow and helps reduce tip dry on the airbrush needle. As a result, you can spray more smoothly with fewer interruptions.
For a starting mixture, Vallejo recommends approximately 3 drops of Flow Improver per 10 drops of paint. However, Flow Improver does not replace Airbrush Thinner when you need to reduce paint viscosity for spraying.
Vallejo Premium Color Reducer
Premium Color Airbrush Reducer helps thin Vallejo Premium Colors for smoother spraying. In addition, it can improve paint flow when using smaller airbrush nozzle sizes.
Vallejo Thinner Medium
Thinner Medium extends acrylic colours, improves fluidity and slows drying time. However, it does not replace Airbrush Thinner when preparing Model Color, Panzer Aces or Game Color for airbrushing.
Instead, use a suitable Vallejo Airbrush Thinner, such as 71.161, and adjust the consistency to suit your equipment.
