Realistic Metallic Finishes for Models
Metal Color paints work well on plastic and metal surfaces with suitable preparation. Although a primer is not always necessary, Vallejo recommends a gloss black primer for the best aluminium finishes.
This combination works particularly well for aircraft fuselages, panels and other metallic components. Furthermore, the range offers various metal shades for creating realistic highlights and contrasting finishes.
Airbrush Application & Thinning
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. You can spray the colours directly from the bottle or thin them with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner (71.161) when required.
The fast-drying formula allows you to apply additional effects with minimal waiting time. However, allow approximately one hour before handling freshly painted surfaces.
For added realism, combine the metallic finish with washes, pigments and dry-brushing techniques.
