Choosing the Right Airbrush Varnish
Matt varnish reduces shine and is ideal for military models, figures and other projects where a flat, natural-looking finish is required.
Satin varnish provides a subtle sheen between matt and gloss. It’s a versatile choice for models, miniatures and surfaces where you want a slight lustre without a highly reflective finish.
Gloss varnish creates a smooth, shiny finish and is particularly useful where a high-gloss appearance is required. It can also be applied before certain decals and weathering techniques.
Our selection includes Vallejo airbrush varnishes in a choice of formulations and bottle sizes, including products from the Premium Color, and Metal Color ranges.
For the best results, always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the varnish you’re using. Apply several light coats rather than one heavy coat and allow sufficient drying time between applications.
