Wicked Pearls & Metallics are water-based airbrush paints designed to create shimmering, reflective and metallic finishes. Suitable for models, custom graphics, artwork, automotive projects and more, they offer striking effects with the versatility of the Wicked Colors range.
What Are Pearl and Metallic Paints?
Pearl paints contain fine reflective particles that interact with light to create a shimmering finish with added depth. The effect becomes more noticeable as the viewing angle and lighting change.
Metallic paints use reflective particles to create the appearance of a metal surface. The Wicked range includes a wide choice of metallic colours, along with specialist aluminium finishes for realistic metal effects.
Wicked Pearls & Metallics spray semi-opaque straight from the bottle and work particularly well with a 0.5mm airbrush tip or larger. Adding Createx 4011 or 4021 Reducer increases transparency and allows use with smaller tip sizes.
The colour underneath also affects the finished result. A suitable silver base can enhance Wicked Aluminium and silver colours, while different base colours can create varied pearl and metallic effects.
For maximum depth and brilliance, finish with a suitable gloss clear coat.
