Pearlescent and metallic base colors that spray semi-opaque out-of-the-bottle, with a 0.5mm airbrush tip-size.
Thin with 4011 or 4021 Reducer for increased transparency and use with smaller airbrush tip-sizes down to 0.3mm.
For best results over plastic, wood, hard-surface & automotive, apply over a color-keyed AutoBorne Sealer Base, Aluminum & Silvers over 6013 Silver Sealer.

Description

This line of Wicked Pearlescent Airbrush Colors includes water-based, multi-surface acrylic paints suitable for any airbrush or spray-gun project. Made with transparent pearl powders and a durable resin, these paints are excellent for both interior and exterior use (exterior use requires a top coat clear, such as UVLS Clears). The pearlescent colors refract light and create brilliant effects, especially when finished with a gloss clear coat like the 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear.

Application & Use:

Tip Size: For best results, use an airbrush with a 0.5mm tip. You can use smaller tips down to 0.3mm by thinning the paint.
Air Pressure: Generally set at a lower 20 to 40+ PSI.
Coverage: The colors spray transparent to semi-opaque straight from the bottle.
Thinning: Thin generously, up to 10% by volume with 4011 or 4021 Reducer for increased transparency and use with smaller airbrush tips.
Durability: Mix with 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear (recommended) or 4030 Balancing Clear to create a more durable, mar-resistant coating for hard surfaces.
Base Coat: For best results over plastic, wood, and hard surfaces, apply over a color-keyed Sealer Base. For aluminum and silvers, apply over 6013 Silver Sealer.
