You’ll find a palette of various shades of earth and dust, ranging from more humid environments to the alkaline tones of very dry landscapes. We also include references to represent general dirt and wear, shadows, and operational effects of machinery or engines. Application Methods:
- Dry Application: Use them dry by gently rubbing the surface of your model with one of our brushes.
- Fixing Pigments: Apply pigments dry to the model, then fix them afterwards by adding a few drops of Vallejo Airbrush Thinner.
- Wet Mixtures: Mix pigments with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner to create mixtures of varying density, achieving realistic effects of dust or dried mud on wheels or tank tracks.
- Creating Volume & Transitions: For volume and interesting transitions, mix pigments with Vallejo Pigment Binder. This product dries slowly to facilitate blending effects, accumulations, or changes in shade by mixing various references.
