When a vehicle drives through muddy terrain, realistic mud splashes are inevitable. The Vallejo range of Splash Mud has been specifically formulated to recreate these effects with ease.
You can achieve realistic splash effects by simply blowing air through your airbrush over a brush loaded with Splash Mud, from a short distance onto the desired area of the model. This technique will spatter realistic mud all over the model. Additionally, Splash Mud can be applied using a stiff brush or even a stick.
The range includes six different kinds of mud, manufactured with natural pigments and water-based acrylic resins. These products dry to a slightly glossy finish, which effectively suggests the humid nature of fresh mud.
