Description
Total Control for Specialized Spray Patterns
The Iwata Hi-Line HP-TH Gravity-Feed Dual-Action Trigger Airbrush is a high-performance tool offering total control over specialized spray patterns, blending unique capabilities with the precision and innovation of the Hi-Line Series.
The Iwata Hi-Line HP-TH is a versatile gravity-feed, dual-action trigger airbrush with unique spray capabilities designed for total control. Its standout feature is the Micro Air Control (MAC) Valve, which allows for incremental control of airflow directly at the nozzle. This enables precise adjustments for fine to large spray patterns and the creation of various controlled stipple effects. The HP-TH comes with both round-pattern and fan-pattern air caps, allowing you to cover areas quickly and evenly. It includes a generous, removable 0.50oz (15ml) fluid cup with lid, perfect for color mixing and easy cleanup. The quick-flush pre-set handle provides easy access to the needle for quick cleaning and lets you set the spray output to reduce finger fatigue and enhance control. Built for longevity, it features Iwata’s spring-steel needle and PTFE solvent-resistant needle packing.

Air Consumption Considerations
The HP-TH consumes more air when operating in the fan pattern compared to the standard round pattern. Many low to medium-powered airbrush compressors may be unable to provide adequate airflow for optimal performance in fan mode.
You can use the following air consumption figures to determine if your existing compressor will be suitable:
- 20psi – Round Pattern: 11.1 L/Min
- 30psi – Round Pattern: 14.6 L/Min
- 20psi – Fan Pattern: 19.1 L/Min
- 30psi – Fan Pattern: 25.2 L/Min
Your compressor’s airflow rating should be available from its manual or the manufacturer’s website. If the rating is provided in CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute), multiply the CFM rating by 28.3 to convert it to L/Min (Litres per Minute).
