Vallejo Air War Paint Sets offer historically researched acrylic colours for painting military aircraft models. Part of the Model Air range, these collections help modellers recreate authentic camouflage schemes and aircraft finishes.
The Vallejo Air War Paint Sets cover aircraft from the RAF, Luftwaffe, USAAF, US Navy and Japanese air forces. In addition, the collections include colours for different aircraft types, military campaigns and historical periods.
Historically Accurate Aircraft Colours
Vallejo develops these sets using extensive historical research and recognised military colour references. These include Federal Standard 595, RLM and British Standard BS381C specifications.
Furthermore, the collections feature aircraft profiles and camouflage schemes by Mark Rolfe, with contributions from Pieza a Pieza Modelling Workshop.
Airbrush-Ready Model Air Paints
These water-based acrylic paints offer smooth application and a realistic matt finish. Although primarily intended for airbrushing, they also suit brush painting for smaller details.
Most Air War sets contain eight coordinated Model Air colours. As a result, you can recreate historical camouflage schemes without selecting every shade individually.
Whether you’re painting a WWII fighter, military bomber or post-war aircraft, these collections provide a practical colour selection.
